FAQs
Therapy provides a safe space where you can bring in the challenges from your life and together we work to uncover the thoughts and emotions and behaviors that might be getting in your way. We will work on YOUR goals. Our sessions will feel like a good conversation and you will walk out feeling heard and understood.
There is no set duration for therapy; it depends on your specific challenges and goals. It is important to know that therapy is not a quick fix and to be prepared for this to take time.
Yes, you don’t need to have a major problem to benefit from therapy. Everyone needs help now and then. You deserve to make the most of your life in every way. If you’re struggling with your mental health, even if only in a minor way, don’t delay. It’s essential you practice self-care for your mind just as much as your body.
Chances are that you, like everyone else, have felt directionless at some point in life. We all find ourselves at a place where we don’t have as much motivation as we used to. When those times come around, it’s the best opportunity for you to seek therapy. A therapist is trained in helping people work through their depression or lack of purpose.
Whatever issue you’re struggling with, a therapist can help you through it. Therapy, in a way, is like a mirror. By attending the sessions, you find out more about yourself and your purpose in life.
Sessions are $270. You can pay by cash, Flex-Spending cards from your employer, or any major credit card.
Payment is due in person at the end of each session. I do not bill for services or carry account balances. If you want to pay by cash, please bring exact change.
I have a few sliding scale slots beginning at $175/session.
I am happy to provide you with a form (called a Superbill) which you can submit to your insurance company to try and receive reimbursement. I have many clients who are able to get at least partial reimbursement for the cost of sessions this way.
If you want to try this, I recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to find out what your specific plan’s policy is for out of network mental health providers.
I understand that things come up, so you can cancel or reschedule your appointment with notice of at least 48 hours. If it’s notice of less than 48 hours, you will be charged the full rate.
No, I look at you bringing up a recurrent theme/issue as an important topic for us to discuss and work on. You are expressing your challenges and concerns. And that’s good for you!
Everyone needs a safe place where they can totally be themselves (blemishes and all) with no fear of judgment.
Schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. I’d love to learn about what you’re going through and how I can help. It’s also your opportunity to ask questions and decide if you’d like to work with me.
I’m glad you asked. Across 50+ years of research and data, the intangible thing that heals in therapy is a good fit between the client and the therapist. It’s that spark of connection that only happens with certain people (and is so awesome when it does).
I’m a wounded healer who has worked hard to be well. I won’t use our sessions to process my stuff, but you’ll understand from the beginning that I’m flawed and okay with being imperfect. If you’re looking for a therapist who has never struggled, I’m probably not going to be a good fit for you.
If you’re looking for someone who is willing to get real with you, I’ll think we’ll get along well.
